I'm surprised. They have him at the 13th best NFL QB prospect? Who spins it better?

A little surprising he's staying. Not really sure what more he can achieve collegiately outside some personal accolades...Heisman, Davey O'Brien, etc. Penix showing that he could stay healthy an entire year likely earned him a draft spot, but I don't think there's any chance a GM is going to gamble on a first round pick on a guy who has suffered season ending injuries in 4/5 collegiate seasons and another big year next season likely doesn't change that fact. Another season ending injury however could completely ruin any chance of playing at the next level.

Anyway, will be pulling for him and DeBoer from here on out.

For what it's worth the sports radio talking heads here in Detroit were saying last week that he would be worth a 3rd round Lions pick but not 1st or 2nd. It kinda goes with what this article is suggesting.

Not many, but his injury past is a huge red flag for GM's. He's likely worth the risk as a day 3 pick, but not many GM's are going to risk their job picking an injury prone QB in the early rounds.

Right, I'm not sure he'll have any chance to achieve anything more...

Especially now that "THE GREAT DEION" has taken over the college football world and anyone who doesn't play for him will be deemed a loser and and unworthy of receiving the accolades.... Okay, I jest.... seriously,

But I'm most concerned about him getting injured.... on the other hand... I bet his NIL money next season will be huge because we all know he'll be in the forefront of the Heisman talk before the season even starts.

Penix led the nation in passing this season. He will only be better next year and Washington will be a legit contender to win the PAC-12. He is absolutely a top Heisman contender.
