Peegs - IU Offer to 2023 PG Miro Little - Highlights and, well, wow.

Certainly seems to know what it means to play downhill.
He has a nice game, but never watched that many highlights and not one shot 8 foot out or further from a guard. Remember Knight offered Delray Brooks w/o ever seeing him play then realized he got almost all his points inside?

Five has seen him in person at least twice. I'll take his word for it.

Crean also offered Priller without ever seeing him play. LOL!

Is Cupp not also a point guard in the same 2023 class?
I'm not usually in favor of that kind of recruiting unless you have two very understanding young men.

IMO Little is a 1-2 and done, Cupps is a 4 year guy. 4 year guys should not play for us freshmen year going forward.

Cupp seems like a four year guy who may not be ready for several years.

what? Delray brooks was a top 5 recruit in the country, guarantee you knight seen him play

If the other team is going to give him the opening then take. Lay ups are higher pct than longer shots.

Stats provided below. Looks like roughly 18-40 from 3. 45%. Decent numbers.

Every time I read his name, I automatically see his first name with an extra “c” in the word, “Micro”. He looks like a nice player.

Okay I did some research and found in "season on the Brink" Knight saw him only once and he barely played because of foul trouble...Knight mostly trusted assistants who watched him more. He transfered, Smart replaced him and the rest is history.

I watched a few of Miro's highlight videos and it's awfully hard to tell much because the competition looked pathetic. Maybe it was just the videos I saw but he was playing with an against a bunch of scrawny little guys who appeared to have zero clue about how to play D. I'm certainly no expert but Indiana's lowest division in high school basketball looks like it would provide tougher competition.

Oh shit! He’s coming for the Purdue game. This could get interesting. That environment will be like nothing he has ever been in.

Villanova and Baylor are on him, too, but IU was on him first. I suspect if those two programs are looking at him he must be the real deal. They've done well lately at evaluating talent.

Very unusual to see IU, Nova, and Baylor in a recruiting battle so hopefully this kid likes tradition because clearly he has an open eval.

I hope the Finns like good old fashioned barnburners. Terrific atmosphere for college hoops.

Yes, history has it forever etched in limestone as a Smart move. Was it Delray Brooks who Knight later admitted had "slow feet" or was it some other disappointing high school star?

Not sure on that, but do remember that w/o watching Delray enough Knight didn't know he got the lions share of his points inside (which didn't bold well in college). I watched Damon Bailey a lot and he did too, but adapted much quicker.

Come to think of it later, it may have been Bracey Wright the recipient of Knight's "slow feet" comment.
