Guard play lost it, offense and defense... some of the dumbest basketball you will ever see.
I don't think that was his fault. Smith fell down instead of coming back to the ball.Hunters turnover was a killer, shouldn't have been in the game.

Maybe I missed something in the play. I thought the pass was partially deflected in the back court, and Smith went down trying to change direction to get back to the deflected pass.I don't think that was his fault. Smith fell down instead of coming back to the ball.
Could be. Archie seemed to blame Hunter in the presser, so I may be wrong.Maybe I missed something in the play. I thought the pass was partially deflected in the back court, and Smith went down trying to change direction to get back to the deflected pass.
They are but it still a choke job at home. We should not have lost. No moral victories period.I've seen much ..Worse..
50 years of watching..
They made all the play's. That absolutely had to be made..
That's how it goes..Indiana fans act like Maryland isn't a good team..They were on many's prediction for a final four..
They should’ve won. They didn’t, obviously, and I agree that moral victories don’t exist. Bit it wasn’t a choke job. The other guys played better, and IU played poorly at the end. Hopefully, some lessons will be learned. They are but it still a choke job at home. We should not have lost. No moral victories period.
Well I mean after all they are Hoooosiers so that’s pretty much the norm isn’t it ? Your team hasn’t been relevant since 1987 you know !Guard play lost it, offense and defense... some of the dumbest basketball you will ever see.

The game was lost when we were ahead by seven. Terps miss a shot, we rebound, and someone (don't remember who) comes down and launches a three right away. Wish we had run another 20 seconds off the clock.Guard play lost it, offense and defense... some of the dumbest basketball you will ever see.
That pass should not have been thrown. However, Hunter had his best game ever as a Hoosier. He is building confidence. I think this team is only going to get better.I don't think that was his fault. Smith fell down instead of coming back to the ball.
That was Durham. I knew at the time that play might come back to haunt us and it did. It was total lack of discipline and discipline is what coaching is all about. It's not about missing free throws, its about jacking up prayer shots when you need to run time off the clock BEFORE launching a 3 point attempt. That quick shot of his at that particular moment just about blew my mind. Knight would have chewed his ass over it before it even had a chance to happen. The game was lost when we were ahead by seven. Yep that was a killer and a junior should know better imo. Thats a shoot really good teams dont take. Thats why they are really goodThat was Durham. Really, really good teams make those kind of shots, twisting the dagger as they push it in deeper. Those kind of teams hang banners from the rafters.Yep that was a killer and a junior should know better imo. Thats a shoot really good teams dont take. Thats why they are really good

Phinesse misses the front end of a one-and-one.
Then the turnover.
Last play, why was Brunk on the bench??
Game over. This one does sting.
Given the unreal manner in which Maryland was hitting 3's in the first half I think IU did a fantastic job of clawing their way back into the game. Even taking charge for much of the 2nd half. A very bad time for the turnover on the full court press; nonetheless, IU played well against another ranked opponent. IU has improved and it is great to see Hunter coming on as well.
He missed a shot that was open and a potential dagger so you like it? Interesting...tell us more!Durham launches I liked the shot it was open and it was a potential dagger
Lolz....not a proven system. What defense does Virginia play?Yes, but this idiotic gimmick D that I think 99.9% of us hates, lost the game. Force them to try and go inside, when you have an inside advantage! There's only one team that plays that way consistently, and they would be known as Syracuse, and they reason they do it well is because they recruit towards it, we are not close to doing that. It's not a proven system yet and nobody is buying in until it succeeds, and look who we play, mostly Crean leftovers, that's gonna get great buy -in.

At best case they would get the ball back down 4 with 40 seconds leftI think it was an ill-advised pass. No need to hurry the ball up the floor at that time. Just need to get it past halfcourt in 10 seconds...and he had plenty of time to spare.
Jerome should’ve been patient and gotten it in the hands of a ball-handler.
That said, Jerome had a good game overall. It was a disappointing loss, to be sure. But we played well for 30 minutes or so. Really, we even played well offensively early in the first half. They were just red hot from outside.
