I read that all parking has been sold out in a advance for Saturday's game. My own son has a game so I will be pushing it to get to the start, and even with a pass, I am worried I may not have a spot. I guess that's a good problem for IU football!

Where did you read this?

I saw on Twitter that they were selling them in advance and expected a sell out. I told a friend who called up to ticket office and they said they sold out.

They may have sold all the passes they have but don't believe for a minute they will sell out the wooded or purple lots in advance. The wooded lots tend to fill loosely so pull in and head north till you find a spot.

They sent an email to season ticket holders saying if you don't have a parking pass they're sending you up by the golf course and will have shuttle busses.

They will also turn away season parking pass holders if they fill up. Your parking pass guarantees nothing. It will be first come, first serve on the passes anyway. The tricky part is: how soon is too late?

Kind of stupid to sell a parking pass if they can't guarantee you a spot!! Typical IU shenanigans.

A pass will not mean squat, thank you for your contribution.
Unless they have oversold the parking passes, those with passes should be good. The email said that they are not allowing anyone without a pass to park in the lots. If you do not have a pass you cannot pay the $20 and get into the lot as you usually can. They will direct you to the shuttle site and bus you to the stadium.

Ok, I see that now. My spots are assigned so different issue.

In other words instead of the usual 36000 in the stands and another 15000 in the lots, there will be 50000 in the stands and another 20000 in the lots. Traffic should be fun.

By the way, number spots aren't impacted by this. Anyone with a reserved spot has no worries. I do think traffic will be the biggest issue, however, so arrive early.

I just spoke with them - they quit selling parking passes on the phone or online the week leading up to the game but you can still go in and buy it in person. While they have them, anyway. Lot 12 is sold out they said but still have some in 10 and 11. And they said the grass lots to the south will not be parking pass only and will still be open on game day as usual. Then when they fill, they have the shuttle lots available at 46 & N. Curry Pike and at the IU golf course.
