We need to win a few of these “better opponents” games. I am not expecting us to be a CFP team in 2025. But then I was not expecting 11-2 in 2024.

I agree it's a long shot to get back to the CFP. We aren't going to sneak up on anyone this year. Having UM and O$U off the schedule helps, but we have challenging road games in Oregon, PSU, an Iowa. USC has also retooled, but we have them at home.

It's going to be an interesting year. If we don't make the CFP, but play tough in the games we lose, it's still progress.

But, as Cig says, we don't put limits on what the team can accomplish.

Well, it's progress they notice us. A few years ago OSU thought so little of IU they were going to auction off the first play call to raise NIL money -- they backed off that plan for compliance reasons IIRC. And yea if a fan won that auction they wouldn't be able to actually call whatever they wanted, but OSU wouldn't do this silly auction against an opponent they respected.

Agree Dan, Indiana does have a tougher schedule this yr. but USC isn't on it.

Dammit, I have some kind of mental block. I keep thinking USC was here this year. I guess it's UCLA, but i had it in my mind USC was on the schedule.
