interesting game to watch and see how each team matches up with the other, because of the way the B1G standings are shaping up. There is a legitimate chance that OR and IU could finish in some order of 8th/9th in conf, and then would face each other in their first B1G tourney game the very next week.

Oregon is a weird team kinda like Indiana the lose 5 in a row win 5 in a row. Be interesting game depends on which team shows up..

I'll be pleasantly surprised if we're even in the game with them at the end...ecstatic if we can beat them.

Shelstad is the type of guard that often gets hot against our defense. And we usually aren't great guarding bigs that can shoot from the perimeter, so Bittle is a concern too.

I wouldn't be surprised, at all, if we get thumped tomorrow night.

This is another game woodson should likely will win. Oregon isn't that great. Woodson will finish 11-9 and you can bank it.

They're so Jekyll and Hyde.

The type of team that can score 85 hitting 15/16 3 pointers and then a team who looks like they'd rather be anywhere but a basketball court. They have some great wins and some equally puzzling losses. Be interesting to see what kind of crowd shows up.

They're 21-8, and have a NET of 31. ESPN's predictor gives Oregon over a 70% chance of winning.

"should likely win"...no.

Could win...sure.

Will likely lose...yes.
My thoughts exactly.
If we lose, CMW will have one of his surrogates explain in the postgame presser that it was that god awful ugly floor

Sounds like IU a little bit.

Honestly I haven't watched enough of them to know this...but I wonder if they're the type of team that's somewhat easy to take out of their game...when they face teams that push them off the 3 point line, play physical, etc...?? And the teams they've hit a bunch of 3s, played better against, have largely been the ones that couldn't do that to them?

If so...IU, while they've played better of late, aren't the type of team to impose their will defensively against most teams.

It's fun to be in the thick of it w no concerns about Woodson, etc.

Pressure's off a bit for these kids, at least as it pertains to Woodson's job.

They control their destiny insofar as making the tourney goes, I think. O and OSU should get us in even if we lose to O again next week, right?

Last game I watched was Michigan State in East Lansing. They hit 10 three pointers in the first half and were up 15 points at the break....and ended up losing by 12 lol. Michigan State started guarding (didn't make another three after half) and really attacked the paint in the second half. Mich St erased that lead in less than 5 minutes.

Doing some box score watching, Shelstead is the type of player that's going to get his. He's had games where he's close to 60% from the field and others where he's sub 30%. Making him as inefficient as possible and not letting somebody else go off is probably the key. Bittle is a terrible matchup for Ballo.

They're not ultra deep, especially in the front court so if Bittle were to get in some foul trouble they would really struggle guarding Ballo/Reneau.

Yeah...from the little I've watched them, they kinda remind me of Illinois. And I can't get that damn game's memory out of my head. Bittle bringing Ballo or Reneau out, will impact our ability to rebound a little bit...on top of his threat to hit outside shots. And Shelstead and their other little guard can get hot pretty quickly.

I guess our new lineup should give us a lot better chance to succeed, though.

The flip side of all this...win this game, and I'm not sure there's a team playing better heading in to the B10 tournament. Bringing Malik and Myles off the bench, is such a huge luxury and advantage of late.

Yeah I think Woodson has finally committed to playing the right lineups/personnel. Team is definitely playing loose and with a chip on its shoulder. Since the back to back drubbings against Iowa and Illinois in mid-January, really only been one game (Wisconsin) where they didn't bother to show up. Good to see some fight left after a brutally tough 5 game losing streak that included some heartbreakers.

If Oregon blows you out, it's because they're unconscious from 3. They aren't going to methodically run it down your throat but they'll blitz the hell out of you if they get hot. Just need to do a good job of getting over the top of screens with Shelstead and defending Bittle in the pick and pop.

This team will find a way to win and lose on senior night then Woodson won't speak to the crowd or media.

Don’t know about that. I saw Oregon roll into Madison and beat a hot Wisconsin team at the time. They have good players and are more than capable of beating IU, especially at home.

Capable?! Of course they're capable. They're better than Indiana, and are playing Indiana at home.

Oregon has had a weird year. Bad losses but have beaten

#6 Alabama
#12Texas A&M
#16 Maryland
#11 Wisconsin

They've had a weird year? Compared to this?

1. beat MSU on their home court-MSU who hasn't lost since, will win the B1G and is pushing for a #1 seed
2. Blew out Purdue once and was 20 seconds away from sweeping them
3. Got blown out by Iowa and was down twenty points to WIsky before the second TV time out.
4. Was losing by 40 at one point to Louisville.

Been a weird season.
