That the breath of fresh air in OL room, helps give offense new pep in their step, OL actually gives a little better run blocking and extra 3/4 second in pass protection.

Then timing is such we knock off MD and at Rutgers - which then sends us into bye week right?

Get a week to rest up , heal up and build off 5-3 record, and will concede OSU. But we play PSU at home, MSU has been reeling. If we are 6-5 or by chance 7-4 (with two huge wins) then suddenly Bucket game means something bigger and IU is playing for Bucket pride and a later day bowl in warmer weather.

That is my post Hiller dream scenario.

Amazing what it’s like to have a smidgen of hope back. (But still not delusional, but do actually think if we win next two games that would be Huge for IU)

I love the optimism, 66, but we probably shouldn't be looking past this weekend's game. We're an 11 point dog to a Maryland team whose two losses are to Michigan by 7 and Purdue by 2. This will be a tough one.

Not delusional just have a bit of mini hope back post Hiller news. When IU has played well this season (end of early season games like Illinois, playing Cinci and UM very tough for a good 2 quarters) IU could beat MD or Rutgers.

I’m hoping a drastic action may spark a bit more focus and it’s still why we play the games!

Why not 9-3? If you think we're going to go 7-4 after what we've seen the last three weeks, not sure what to say. I know, "Hope springs eternal."

I realize it is risky but I would like to see more creativity from the offense this week; aside from the wildcat run straight up the gut. A bit more unpredictability (with a little success) might provide Bazelak some time. If nothing else, it takes a bit of pressure off him from time to time.

Considering last year's abysmal offense scored 35 against Maryland, on the road, it is not beyond belief they can put up 30 this year: especially if Camper, Barner and Matthews can play.
Ummmm... Maryland defense MUCH better than last year. IU offense... not so much

You could be right but all i know is that they have BIG loss and we have a win.
A single win.... which is unfortunately what we'll likely have at the end of the season... I'm not a negative Nancy... I see hope in the future with CTA/recruiting/the firing of Hiller.... but anything better than 3-9 this year will shock me.
