Given they had a much needed bye week to heal up, rest a bit and hopefully get their heads cleared, I'd like to believe there could be a rebound/bounce back left for this season.
Iowa - We've almost always played them tough in years past. If offense is going w/Nate passing & running game going, we could put points up. Defense just needs to stop giving up multiple big plays and try to find a few turnovers like they did earlier in the season. Would be a fantastic upset win at home.
Michigan - I'm not going to say easy win obviously. But like Iowa, have played them well in the past, and if we beat Iowa, with Harbaugh drawing what will likely be a sellout game, there could be energy in the stadium to yes, pull off upset #2. But for me, I think better shot initially with Iowa vs. Michigan.
Maryland - believe they've had some issues this year. Sure they are still very capable of beating us, but if we can get at least ONE win in the above two, then IU would know they have a shot at not only 6 game bowl eligible, but even a 7 game win season. Especially if we can get a win prior, I do like IU here, but if 0-2 going into it, then it becomes must win obviously and hope IU would not be too tight.
Purdue - First, even if we go 0-3 into this game, I do think IU will treat this as the rivalry it is regardless. So will Purdue who after beating Nebraska may show they have the ability to beat IU too. Will be a good crowd and Purdue will want it badly. But especially if IU is playing for win 6 (or 7) I think IU wins this game again this year regardless!
Would be a tremendous turnaround to get to 6 game wins to show progress, heart and fight. Would be beyond ecstatic if they got anything higher as that would be a program tipping point given where they are right now. If they go 0-4, I will be concerned for Wilson's future sadly, as that would mean complete collapse after 4-0 start. (Unless we have significant injuries from IA/MI game that take out Sudfeld, other key players)
I'm going to look for a perfectly timed bye week to have team coming back strong and as if it is a new season of 4 games, 2 home, 2 (winnable) away, and believe the Hoosiers have great shot to rise to the challenge!
