ONLY the fans care about winning and playing hard

As is the football program but no worries we got lots of money!!

Correct. Decades of neglect in both sports, moreso football caused this mess. Got to be respectable in both.

IU is like a mom and pop store trying to compete inside a mall of national powerhouse brands. It’s not even conference worthy. People, fans and admins both turned a blind eye in “backwards Bloomington” a long time ago to what it takes to compete at this level.

Absolutely embarrassing, it's literally unwatchable. 3rd straight year of not even making the 68+ team tournament, and things aren't looking better next year with our 2 best players on their way out.
Longest streak ever i think if you take out creans honeymoon.

Players, Coaches, and Administration are ok with just showing up with no desire to win.

I don't know, Fred looked pretty grim last night.

I wonder a couple of things about him, relative to basketball:

1. Why was he there last night? By that, I mean what was his main purpose? Evaluating the coaching, or simply moral support?

2. Has he had a sit-down, heart-to-heart conversation with Archie about what the hell is going on? The reason I ask is that I would think any management type, in any business, would want to know exactly what his 'supervisor' thinks is wrong with the 'production' of his team. I'm not saying he should be critical or offer suggestions.......but if I was paying anybody 3m+ a year and getting these results, I would be asking some questions.

Believe me, if people are complaining about Glass on here, they are complaining elsewhere. My guess is that Fred has caught wind of the fact that if Miller goes down, a growing segment of the fanbase expects him to go too.

This school only starts to react when things get toxic. It is toxic.

Well, the guy just raised and spent $45M on facilities, not including Cook Hall and the new locker rooms, and hired a guy who 95% of the college basketball world thought was a great fit for IU. I fully understand being pissed. I agree the mishandled the Crean situation. I really think 85% of our present problems go back to the roster Crean left Archie. As I've mentioned a couple of times on here, I knew Archie was in trouble the moment I saw his team scrimmage at HH in Nov. '17. There were only 2-3 players that wanted to be there, and it was obvious.

The more interesting question now is how Archie should have handled it......should he have benched Green and Smith right from the start in '17-'18? Had he done so, where would we be now? I think you can put 15% of the blame on Archie, but realistically, I don't know what he could have done differently to achieve better results on the court to this point.

The desire to win and the ability are not the same thing. They play hard just not smart or confident.

I don't agree that they play hard, except in short spurts. I don't think Smith or Romeo gave anywhere near full effort last night, and Morgan also mailed it in.

I've watched Rutgers play 7-8 times this year. For much of the year they were completely incompetent on offense, but they played hard maybe 75% of the time. Same for Illinois.

The teams that have consistently played hard, like Rutgers and Illinois, are now beating the lack of effort/bad chemistry teams like Nebraska, IU, and PSU.

I am pretty sure he goes to most of the games
