Only 30% of Americans support pardons for J6 criminals.

Looks like a lot more pardons will be coming before the inauguration.

This story came out a year ago -- the source was reportedly a high-level CIA whistleblower. I'm pretty sure the agency denied that this happened. But they would, wouldn't they?

I guess my question is why the CIA would have any interest in denying the lab-leak hypotheses -- if, anyway, their information pointed in that direction. According to the narrative of the whistleblower, there were 7 members on the panel and only the most senior member favored zoonotic origin. The other 6 did not.

I can see where the NIH and its proxies would have an interest in promoting zoonotic origin. But other than them, the only other people who would share that interest are the Chinese.

Of all the people the word treason is thrown at, the J6 rioters are those that the charge might actually apply to.
The IG report doesn't at all support the stupid and ridiculous idea that CIs inspired these "patriotic peaceful protestors" to become violent rioters. Not even a little bit. Notably it notes that no CIs were involved in any criminal activity or were prosecuted. Of course, this means Ray Epps, who was prosecuted and convicted, wasn't a CI or a Fed. They will not get that. I'm just sick of the stupidity on my side of the aisle. It's such an embarrassment.

That’s too many, but it’s still significant. If Trump follows through on pardoning all or most he’ll be spending political capital he can’t afford to spend.

Well today we find out the FBI had 26 Confidential Human Sources in DC wearing MAGA hats and pretending to be radicals. Turns out many were illegally inside the Capital.

All this drops the day after Wray announces he’s leaving. I wonder if Bleach Bit and Shredders are going to be on overtime before Patel gets there.

Four went in the Capitol and none, in the Capitol or not, engaged in violent behavior. Of course, they had CIs embedded with some of these groups involved. There were Proud Boys and other radical groups involved, and they should have CIs embedded with them. That's what the FBI should be doing and what many of us expected they were doing. I sure as hell hope the FBI doesn't stop keeping tabs on these types of groups if Patel gets in the job and I hope he doesn't. This in no way whatsoever clears the violent rioters on J6.

Also, Ray Epps was just another MAGA dude who was appropriately prosecuted and convicted.

You don’t have correct numbers. Why did Wray parse words to keep denying to Congress under oath they had people there? If they were paid MAGA rats why weren’t they prosecuted for breaking the law?

Four is what the report says per what I read. Wray didn’t deny there were CIs there, he said he wouldn’t confirm it. I’d guess it was because there were a lot of ongoing investigations and prosecutions. CIs NEVER get prosecuted for doing their jobs unless they engage in unauthorized illegal activities. This is why it was obvious for a long time that Ray Epps wasn’t a CI. None of this is a revelation. These are well known facts.

I still don’t understand why some Republicans seem to believe the violent rioters were the good guys and law enforcement personnel were the bad guys. This is the opposite of what law and order Republicans have always believed. This Republican hasn’t changed and I have no sympathy for any of the violent rioters, same as I have none for the “summer of love” rioters.

Also, “MAGA rats?” That indicates you think the violent rioters were the good guys, including the white supremacists and militia types. I hope that’s not what you mean.

MAGA rats that illegally went into the Capital need to be prosecuted just like the rest that day.

“MAGA rats,” seriously? Why are they rats? Four went in and didn’t engage in any violent or destructive crimes. They did their jobs. Most likely they testified against those that did. That’s what CIs are supposed to do. Surely you’ve read or seen a movie about how CIs have helped to stop plots or testify against criminals. Why are you calling them rats? They helped law enforcement.
