Ryan Eckley, MSU beats out James Evans, Indiana. Dolman from Michigan was 3rd. Hopefully, James will not have an opportunity to punt much this year.

It will be up to James show this year he is the best in the few punts he gets.
I’d like to see James improve upon his inside the 20 outcomes. I don’t think he’ll be punting from inside the 10 often.
If this Offense is inside the 40 I expect we'll either be going for the FG or the First Down... I doubt we'll be seeing James punting from anywhere other than our own 42 and back from there..
His getting the ball to drop and die between the goal line and the 5 while giving his fellow Special Teamers a real shot at downing it..., will be the key to his being recognized as The Best in the Big Ten, in my opinion...
There were a few that didn’t quite die or get the patented coffin corner bounce. Yes, I think CCC will pass on 4th down instead of punting. If we aren’t… the offense must be out of sync … and being coached hard.
I hope the offense is so good James has few opportunities to punt and he nails every punt he gets.
Yes, if we are punting we are not moving the ball down the field.
James made the Ray Guy list again this year. Last season’s school record season (45+ yds) ranked 3rd in the big ten and 15 nationally.

Good for James Evans. He's literally come a long way with American Football since his freshman season.
