OK Merrick, What'cha Got?

Put up or shut up.
Willis in Georgia may have the stronger case, with potential RICO charges.

But, feds and/or state, there's not going to be a hurried investigation and prosecution, nor should there be. Trump is at the center of what appears to be a hub and spoke conspiracy (with co-conspirators including Giuliani, Eastman, Clark, Stone and probably some members of Congress), and new witnesses and facts are almost certainly emerging. There are numerous prongs including the pressure campaign against state elections officials and the fake electors scheme. It's a complex case, and there's never been a criminal prosecution of a former US president. This shit takes time.

To summarize: This will be dragged on simply for political purposes through mid terms and general, then sort of be forgotten. Nothing will happen to trump legally/criminally and the taxpayers will simply fund this billion dollar Dem campaign ad.

Sadly, I suspect you may be right.

Dumb.

It needs to be done, regardless of the results. The entire sordid affair must be brought to light. If charges result, that's great. If hearts and minds are changed, that's even better. But exposing Trump and his henchmen is reward enough.

It's possible things are proceeding a lot more quickly behind the scenes...Even Heavy Trumper (and former Trump lawyer Ty Cobb) says that the GA investigation poses a real threat to Trump. They've elevated all 16 of the fake electors there from possible witnesses to actual targets of a criminal probe...

Sixteen people is a LOT of people to try and keep in line. We saw how the DOJ said in late summer 2021 they weren't planning on indicting anyone from PB or Oath keepers for serious charges like seditious conspiracy. But once they got down to the business of charging individual members, the floodgates opened, the rats began to abandon the sinking ship and people started to plea bargain and cooperate. By Spring 2022 both groups had multiple members under indictment for exactly that charge...

Some interesting perspective here from some fairly connected people...

I like listening to Ty Cobb. He seems objective for a former trump guy and tells it like it is. Erin Burnett had him on the other evening and she was visably upset that Ty was not mindlessly and emotionally ripping all over trump (as her other guests were) but instead talking about the case factually. She was pissed as hell.
