Are you a Purdue fan? They’re EXPENSIVE.
I bought before the show on the hunch. I’ll still try and get them through the IU ticket office and resell the ones I got to some domer if I do.
I’m a capitalist.Are you a Purdue fan?
I'd do the $700 but put me down for a no on $5k.Right now they range between 700 and 5,000 for a pair.
I’ll be going somewhere in Bloomington to watch it.
You should offer them to IU fans first at whatever price you want. If no takers then try ND fans.I’m a capitalist.
This post season is fixing to be an expensive endeavor on top of an expensive year. All things being equal, I would really like to recoup some cash. If a fellow Hoosier would like to pay the going rate of like $2,200 for what I paid $1,100 for, good for them. But I prefer to gouge a Domer of anyone
They’re most likely going up on SeatGeek, which does not discriminate. With that said, if I get athletic dept tickets (which I’m not expecting by priority points and it’ll be a hot ticket), I’ll post on here if anyone wants to pay whatever the going rate is.You should offer them to IU fans first at whatever price you want. Did the purchase go through? How will they determine whether you actually get the tickets. I also applied for some but it was not clear what the process is.I just put in for my Sugar Bowl tickets thru IU. It’s up and taking orders now on the website.

Yup that’s what it sounds like. So the people who can actually afford to pay secondary market prices are the ones who will get the university tickets. I really wish they’d at least save some for students. They deserve itIf I'm reading the IU notice correct, there aren't going to be any available through IU -- those will all go to family and university big shots.
Don’t get charged until we get them. It’s priority point based.Did the purchase go through? How will they determine whether you actually get the tickets. I also applied for some but it was not clear what the process is.
I saw that too. Bummer. Looks like no arbitrage opportunity for meIf I'm reading the IU notice correct, there aren't going to be any available through IU -- those will all go to family and university big shots.
Bingo. They sure as hell had better!.... I really wish they’d at least save some for students. They deserve it
It sucks for us, but the idea is for it to be a true home game, so I get itA higher visiting team allocation would be a positive — 15-20% of capacity or something like that. It would add to the atmosphere to have a decent block of away fans in the stadium.
Not gonna happen, but I guess I’ll make this post anyways.
I agree. I think they should do a 70/30 split. It still rewards the home team but allows for visiting fans to travel and watch their team. Which comes to the point of NCAA basketball tournaments. The higher seeds get no real home court advantage. They may have a bit of regional advantage but in the old days, just like the NIT, 1st round games were played at the campuses. Not sure why they couldn’t coordinate games played at neutral sites in the first round for football.A higher visiting team allocation would be a positive — 15-20% of capacity or something like that. I imagine it was as a reward to higher seeds, similar to what the NFL does (also where a 7-10 division champ can host a 12-5 wildcard team), easier to schedule because arranging convenient neutral sites with 2 weeks lead time would be tough, & not wanting to eat up 4 more bowl sites (as pointless as bowls have become) by making them playoff games.I agree. IU's allotment is 3,500 seats and after the band, parents, staff, dignitaries, etc are taken care of I am told that there may be about 2,000 seats remaining. Donors at the Hoosier Champion & Scholar levels were given the opportunity to request 4 tickets and donors at the Hoosier Athlete and Hundred levels were given the opportunity to request 2. Seats will be assigned based on priority points standing. If I'm reading the IU notice correct, there aren't going to be any available through IU -- those will all go to family and university big shots.
I totally fell for that. Glad that link wasn't some meme of a large African American man sitting naked on his bed displaying his 3rd leg.Contact IU Hoops forum.
They have tickets for sale much cheaper.
They have a website set up:
