O-line needs to improve

That third and one was a huge momentum swing that cost us. You got to have that in the Big Ten to compete. We have talked about this unit all off season. There is no excuse for them to not be very good. The weight program, experience and depth should allow this not to happen. I was hoping that Hiller would be able to develop some swag and attitude. Not sure I see it yet. We're going to see again Saturday. Rain will make the o-line very important

Should be interesting to see how that pans out this week. Also glad CTA is so critical of those 3rd and 1's. He wants to keep the chains moving of course but he is keeping the pressure on the OL which is great IMO

I Wasn't happy to hear their excuse was exhaustion in the heat. Im glad I didn't have to play out there but the line practiced in the heat all summer. What happened to that conditioning jump we were supposed to see? Im sure its there but that was disappointing to hear it used as an excuse by the players. Correctable...I hope...vbg

On that play mentioned, it was 100% Baker getting beat. Everyone else had good blocks and a good push, a couple FIU guys got knocked back 2+ yards.

Don't know how good our conditioning is. But my job before I retired, caused me to travel a lot.Always hated to go where it was hot and humid. Even an easy job was made harder. I know young men are in a lot better shape. But, it was like the oxygen wasnt there.

He let the guy get across his face. A "never-ever let that happen" type of thing even at the high school level.

I'm not sure where they come off blaming the weather. You won't find a cooler Florida evening, with a breeze, after the rain moved through a couple hours earlier.

It certainly wasn't any hotter than what they'd been practicing in.

Maybe more aerobic exercising is in order.....
