IU has one win since 1987 (37 years) and that was 2020 during covid.....ouch!

Correct. You must not have heard that IU has a new coach and so does UM. Enough said. Only you're 5-3 and IU is 9-0. When was the last time IU was 5-3 and UM 9-0, much less IU at 9-0 and UM 5-3?

What kind of staff doesn't go after a QB in the Portal when they know they have a 6th year perennial oft injured, little used, backup, a former walk-on who's not quite ready for prime time,, and a freshman who struggles to throw an accurate pass on the depth chart as their potential starters at Quarterback...???

That is correct. I was an IU student in 1987 and was at that game, which was played in a driving rainstorm. Besides the actual game, the best part was Bo Schembechler crying at his post-game press conference about IU fans making too much noise while Michigan was trying to snap the ball.
This year, Michigan's crying will likely start early in the second quarter, and by the third quarter, its players will begin faking injuries so they can go to the bench and not have to get hit in the mouth any longer.

If IU wins this Saturday, they've got a .400 winning percentage in the last 5 years...you know, the best years for UM in a few decades.
The past has zero bearing on the outcome of the game next Saturday. IU is the juggernaut, Michigan is the afterthought.
I do like their coach though I hope they can keep him around..

Yes, one win over UM since '87, and the second is coming this Saturday.
And we have not had a University President take football seriously in 40 years.

Another week in which opposing fans come to this board in hopes of willing their team to victory based on the history of their program. Believe it or not, IU is not foreign to this concept; hence, IU's 5 banners hanging in assembly and yet IU is still trying to get back to those glory days in basketball. WASH, NEB, and even MSU fans were touting IU's weak schedule and poor history playing against their teams. Well, those teams were placed on IU's schedule by the conference and IU can only play the schedule they are given. Therefore, if IU's schedule is so weak then those three previously named schools must really SUCK this year and Michigan fans will be feeling very BLUE when they join the list of teams IU has smashed in the mouth this season. Mich squeaked by MSU in the vaunted Big House and IU slept through the second half of the win vs MSU in E. Lansing.
I think its wise to adopt CCC's perspective. This is business....and business has to be taken care of. Revenge and sugar highs can wait until the game is over. Michigan is an obstacle to what is possible, just like the last 9 opponents. The are going to be prepared....because in one sense....Oregon prepared Michigan for Indiana. They face the same basic opposition. What IU has to do is wash, rinse and repeat. IU is averaging 46 points per game, Michigan is averaging 21 points per game. Michigan will try to control the clock and the ball....and run the ball early and often....mixing in tight end routes to keep piling up first downs. They don't think IU can score on them like Oregon did, imo. IU has to run its offense....avoid turnovers and penalties....and the points will come. I think this game will be closer than we have seen....but CCC is the difference. This team follows the script and the results take care of themselves.
If Michigan doesn’t think IU can score they are straightjacket delusional. Plus, their offense is horrible and IU is playing lockdown defense right now.
