I hope you are right but 6 million to the cooks and simons is like 5 bucks to you and me. I think as long as the money buys them access to the coach I doubt they care all that much. If they did they would have never bailed Woodson out for this season. They would have helped pay to get rid of him. The writing was already on the wall about his coaching.

Kansas has big money players but they have a guy who can coach. Just throwing money at players doesnt get you a good team. You actually have to coach them into a team. I mean I dont know they clearly are not very good judges of basketball if they thought giving woodson more money would somehow fix his coaching.

I agree. I would have fired Woody last year. All I’m saying is Cook/Simon did try something new (more NIL), and while that probably wasn’t the right move, I’m not sure they are extremely illogical and will keep giving him more and more NIL with no results.

Woodson is much better at BS’ing those above him in the hierarchy than he is at coaching those below him.

Many transfer players have multiple years of eligibility. The program will want many of them to stay. Most players would like a destination they can stick with — similar to high school recruits.

I sure hope so. Because I know if he can pull a 2015-2016 conference season out of his behind we are truly screwed two more years. I reallly hope those who all cheered and celebrated that little 3 or 4 game win streak to end the conference season last year to bring this nonsense we are in now are enjoying it.
