WTF with these new "muddy" car colors? The gray version is everywhere and looks like old primer with clear coat.

I've asked the same. It's just a style thing, evidently. The guys at the Bedford store (it has a paint dept.) say they're just base colors without any metallic or pearl added. Easy to mix, and is supposedly easy for body shops to match and blend.

and eventually tougher to resell.

With a muddy or dirty color car would you have to wash it as often? We have a 97 Mercury Silhouette Van which is white. I took my grandson out yesterday and he helped me wash it. If we had a dirty color then what every other year would be appropriate? lol

Looks terrible to me. I see 100k plus cars with this nonsense all the time lately. What a waste

I like the grey color on trucks and SUV's. It might provide a stealthy, sleeper look on a performance car. It might be cool to look at on a car like that, but not sure it would be my first choice. It is different but hope they don't use it too much.

I’ve seen some 4 runners, etc in western states that don’t look terrible. Especially if you use them for more than just gas guzzling.

I like most of the colors you’re referring to and was close to buying one (Audi) until baby expenses came along. Tesla has a grey that I like too.

I wish more autos would offer forest green. I think Toyota gives the option with the 4Runner and Taco but a little too dark for me.

Its a derivative of the camo look previously. Its the militarisation of society's taste and fashion.

Having said that I think its better than those ugly feckin wraps that people are/were doing to their cars. Then the range of looks is pretty wide -- from carton figures to oil stain to camo.

Car companies will use it as long as consumers want it and in as many colors as they want. I may come around on them but at this point I personally dislike all of them.

The first one I saw was my neighbor kid’s Beemer and I thought wtf is wrong with that car? Is it in the middle of a repaint?
