When I look at KenPom versus (CBS) RPI versus Net rankings they seem to be all over the place. For example:
Purdue: KenPom 24, RPI 81 and NET 38
Michigan: KenPom 27, RPI 61 and NET 35
OSU: KenPom 13, RPI 53, and NET 19
MSU: 8th in KenPom and NET, but 24th in RPI
IU is fairly consistant: KenPom 41, RPI 36, and Net 47
Why the big variations? How should I be using these numbers, and how can these be used to help predict NCAA bids and seeds? RPI seems to think that the B10 is vastly overrated, and maybe they are.
