Need to look at this with clear eyes…

At the end of the day, this team just didn’t have enough talent to win against the best, “elite” teams in the country, but that’s ok. They gave it their all and exceeded our wildest expectations. Hopefully they laid the foundation for many years of continued success going forward. Consistency is the key…

We have enough talent to win. But with a really great performance. We laid a couple eggs only partially caused by the other team.

But, upgrades will happen. Rome wasn't built in a day. We can look forward to being strong most years though. Cig knows what he's doing. In a couple years he'll have higher level and more depth too.

Players will see the light. Indiana is the place to play!

Exactly what I said after the O$U loss. I personally didn't think IU deserved to be in the CFP but glad they were. Lets replace all these 3 stars with some 4s and then we will be able to hang with the O$U and ND's of the world. IU football has something the basketball team does not.... a real coach.

We are nowhere near elite in our offensive front.

That became apparent against Michigan, Ohio State and tonight.

Sure, but we don't have to be elite to beat elite teams some of the time.

This line was patched together pretty quickly last offseason. Then had a preseason injury and a late season injury. And still played very well most games. Wildly exceeded most expectations.

Bostad will get upgrades, but yeah takes time.

IU basketball is a dumpster fire. And that portal haul was fool’s gold. The guards stink and Ballo is mediocre. Doesn’t help that Bigfoot is the worst coach in the conference. Football is in solid hands but do need those 4 star kids. Bigfoot could be handed an NBA roster and fail miserably.

Fundamentally, this staff has had one year with a starting point of an awful team. We didn't sell out until our 5th home game this year.

ND has been putting forth more or less maximum effort to win a national title for decades. Their NIL is 3x ours. And it showed.

If it happens, it's going to take time to build a team that can compete on the road vs. top teams. Stinks but is what it is.

I would’ve loved to see us at home, or even on a neutral field, against these teams. And next year we have our two biggest tests, PSU & Oregon, on the road.. sigh. We’ll have to wait awhile to get one of these big games in Memorial Stadium.

Yea. I good step would be to be more competitive in those games, PSU we may have a shot idk our team isn’t set yet.

At Iowa will be key if we want a special season.

Teams with less talent have to be opportunistic. Ponds INT could have and should have been a springboard but we didn’t execute. Rourke’s INT and the 98 yard td let doubt start to creep in and then things were over mentally for our guys.

Exactly. Everyone has made such a deal about our schedule, but I’d have loved a shot at at least one of the big boys at home,

They literally make the conference schedules 3 years in advance. They are set. What the idiot talking heads on these podcasts and other media think is that someone in the conference offices just draws up these schedules sometime in August. The lack of awareness in the media shows how inept they are at understanding the entire process.
They don’t know who is going to be good, which teams have new coaches. The idiocy of the people who talk about schedule strength act like schools do it intentionally for their conference schedules. A bunch of numbnuts.
