ND SOS is 57 IU is 67

I quit following him because it was so wrong on Indiana high school football. I think his bias is why he has ND #1, where does he have IU.
In my gambling days I loved Sagarin. My friend and I had found some trends using his computer ratings but that was before anyone even knew what a computer was. I always look after the weekend to see what his football rankings are and was shocked that he had ND #1 ... I also never agreed with his ranking for conferences in football or basketball.

It's not so much that he's wrong, his ratings don't factor in out of state competition. We are in a day in age where playing out of state competition is par for the course for many teams.

One could argue that SOS is the only reason Alabama was even considered. How many B10 teams would be considered at 9-3 with losses to two 6-6 teams? Illinois lost at #1 Oregon, at #9 Penn State and to 7-5 Minnesota. I don't see anyone from Illinois opining that they are going to schedule high school teams from here on out.
Great example...and exactly why I was so disappointed in Saban. Especially when you factor in his entire coaching philosophy was about taking care of the little details every day... he would have been, and I'm sure was, absolutely disgusted with their Oklahoma performance...which came on the schedule AFTER they lost at Vandy earlier in the year. Sounds like that team doesn't learn much from mistakes and poor performances.

OBVIOUSLY Bama was only in the discussion because of their schedule, and their good wins. But to discount those awful losses...well its completely disingenuous, especially coming from someone like Saban.
