ND Rutgers good game

Betting, I have Rutgers to win outright and I think they pull a win out of it.

I have some in game wagers on both. ND +5.5 & Rutgers +4.5. Just win by bucket Rutgers.

And your PG throws a bad OB pass for an easy ND layup, only to make it up the other end with a 3. Then ND goes the length of the floor for layup to tie and put in a 2nd OT.

I'm not used to Avery's voice yet but perhaps it will grow on me. In fact I was wondering how his players could take that voice over 82 games.

I'd want to stick an ice pick in my ears.

Great, great game. I remember our game with ND was tight with two 7-10 point lead swings either way, I underestimated ND. Those guys down low are good. The got some ballers. I’ve also a been a Mike Brey fan. He gets a bad rap but I like his coaching. His teams genuinely play well. ND’s improved.

His coaching record suggests they couldn’t take it for 82 games

Great game!! Like most, felt Rutgers would win. Dozed off for last 6 minutes of regulation and woke up for the OTs. Tremendous excitement. Shame either team had to lose. Mulcahy, aka Goofy head band guy, had some rough times to help ND to the win.

Great game. Both teams had trouble guarding each other. Definitely contrasting styles. Though I rarely root for anything related to Notre Dame, I was happy to see them beat the "fighting Snookies". Something about headband boy that just annoys the shit out of me.

Are Harper Jr. and Baker finally done ? It feels like both have been there since 1986.

Mulcahy was having a pseudo- breakout season this year until the last few weeks. He has been playing like crap of late and it cost them in the B1G tourney, and now in the big tourney.

Harper and Baker are done unless they qualify for the Settles/Bohannon plan. They could transfer to Iowa and probably get another 3-4 yrs of eligibility.

Harper has one year of eligibility left but nobody thinks he will use it. Baker's time on the banks is over. Caleb has another year of eligibility too. There is less consensus on whether or not he will use it, or move on to other things.

They only called one foul on ND the entire first half. Hard to believe. Cliff spent a lot of the first half on the bench with two fouls. We played a lot of straight-up man with little help defense and ZERO zone, and guys were frequently beat off the dribble or by guys faking a screen, then slipping to the basket. We were so concerned about their 3 point shooting game that we just got shredded in the paint.

Tough loss, very entertaining season with so many ups and downs.

Craziest stat of this game.....game goes 2OTs.....ND winds up with 8 total team fouls...for the entire game. Against RU. How the hell??
I wasn't aware of that. But in hindsight, I watch the game from the second half to the finish and I don't recall thinking that ND was getting away with fouls. ND wasn't very physical, and RU was settling for jumpshots. Most of their interior scoring was Omoriyi (sp.?) getting lobs when ND post defenders were caught helping up off the block.
