NASHVILLE
-- Third-seeded Indiana is set to compete in its third consecutive NCAA Baseball Championship, opening play in the Nashville Regional on Friday, May 29, at 3 p.m. ET vs. second-seeded Radford at Vanderbilt's Hawkins Field.

If the Hoosiers win, they'll play Saturday evening at 8 p.m. ET vs. the winner of No. 1 Vanderbilt and No. 4 Lipscomb. If IU loses its opener, it will play an elimination game vs. the loser of Vanderbilt and Lipscomb on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET. Sunday's games will also take place at 4 and 8 p.m. ET in the double-elimination regional. If necessary, Monday's game will start at 6:30 p.m. ET.

••• WATCH: Friday' game will be on ESPN3. Saturday's and Sunday's games will be on either SEC Network or ESPN3 with Monday's if necessary game on either SEC Network, ESPNU or ESPN3. TV designations will be made based on results from the game and updated here as soon as determined.

INDIANA vs. THE REGIONAL...
••• IU and Radford have never played each other. Radford's 15-game winning streak is tied for the second-longest in the country.

••• In NCAA Tournament openers, Indiana is 2-3. IU's all-time regional record is 6-6. Indiana is 8-5 in Friday games in 2015.

••• Vanderbilt holds a 8-4-1 edge in 13 games vs. Indiana dating back to VU's 7-2 win on May 8, 1905.

••• Vanderbilt has won the last five meetings after IU won four straight. The last meeting between the two was a 6-5 VU win at Hawkins Field in 11 innings. IU's lineup featured Micah Johnson, Alex Dickerson, Michael Earley and Ethan Wilson, all eventual MLB First-Year Player Draft selections.

••• The Hoosiers and Commodores have met once in the NCAA Regional. Vanderbilt ended IU's 2009 season in the Louisville Regional, topping Indiana, 10-0.

INDIANA & THE NCAA TOURNAMENT...
••• Indiana is in the NCAA Baseball Championship for the third straight year, the fourth time in the last seven years and the fifth time overall (1996, 2009, 2013, 2014 & 2015).••• IU is competing in the NCAA Tournament in three consecutive years for the first time in school history, also marking the first time since 2008 that a Big Ten school has been to the postseason three straight years.

••• Indiana's three straight appearances mark the 16th time in Big Ten history that a member institution has earned three consecutive postseason bids.••• The Hoosiers are 9-8 (.529) in 17 all-time NCAA Tournament games, winning eight of their last 12.

••• Indiana hosted NCAA Regionals the last two years, advancing to its first College World Series in 2013. IU was upset in 2014 by Stanford after the Hoosiers earned the No. 4 overall seed, becoming the first Big Ten school ever to claim a national seed.

THE HOOSIER RESUME...
••• Indiana won nine of its final 10 regular-season games and has won 11 of its last 14 overall, entering the postseason as one of the hottest teams in the country. In that span, IU owns eight RPI Top 50 wins.••• Indiana's strength of schedule ranks 31st nationally and first in the Big Ten. IU only played a combined four games vs. the last six place teams in the B1G, while playing three road series at the top three teams (Illinois, Iowa & Maryland).

••• Indiana owns seven wins over 2014 NCAA Super Regional teams and 15 vs. 2014 NCAA Tournament teams and is 11-11 vs. this year's field, including a 4-2 mark vs. regional hosts.

••• The Hoosiers are 11-3 vs. ranked opponents, including five Top 15 wins. IU is 5-1 vs. RPI Top 25 teams, 15-7 vs. RPI Top 50 teams and 17-10 vs. RPI Top 75 teams.••• IU has recorded 10 or more hits on 30 occasions (nine of last 16) and has struck out 10+ batters 19 times (four of last seven).

A LOOK AT THE HOOSIERS
••• 33 of Indiana's 56 games have been decided by three runs or less, including 17 by one run. IU is 10-7 in one-run games and 20-13 in three-run contests.

••• In the Big Ten, IU ranks tied for second in triples (17), third in strikeouts (466) and walks allowed (138), fifth in batting average (.276), team ERA (3.41), home runs (32) and runs allowed (234).

••• Senior DH Scott Donley was named to the All-Big Ten second team, his third straight year on an All-Big Ten team. Sophomore OF Craig Dedelow made the third team, while Isaiah Pasteur and Logan Sowers were selected to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team. Will Nolden was IU's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award honoree.

••• Scott Donley leads IU with a .325 batting average, 37 RBI and is second with 69 hits. Craig Dedelow leads the Hoosiers with 72 hits, 109 total bases and is second for IU with a .323 average. Casey Rodrigue leads IU with 46 runs scored. Seven Hoosiers have at least 10 extra-base hits, led by 25 from Rodrigue.

••• Luke Harrison leads IU with 58 strikeouts, while Jake Kelzer has pitched a team-high 70.1 innings. Five pitchers have won four games and three have started 11. Kyle Hart leads the Hoosiers with a 1.48 earned run average.

••• Three of the four most experienced pitchers in Indiana history are currently on the roster, including two of the top three. Ryan Halstead's 104 career appearances are first while Luke Harrison is third with 86. Scott Effross has played in 80 games, which is fourth.
