I see Bruce Pearl’s DII record at Southern Indiana and raise you Josh Schertz’s DII record + 15 years younger + what he’s currently doing at Indiana State + far more likely to ever happen.
Sadly, due to IU’s ironic post-RMK hubris (“A blueblood would never hire such an inexperienced coach!”), abject nepotism and general program dipsh*tness, IU will certainly will whiff on the world’s most obvious coaching move.
Schertz will wind up elsewhere. And keep winning. A lot.
