First, the quick vent - if your team scores 52 points, probably 98% time you should always get the win. Was watching game on TV, had to go, almost dropped phone when I saw score given I had just watched a masterful 3rd Q and believe it was 52-27 heading into the 4th quarter. Ultimate meltdown for the ages.

Defense: I thought Knorr/coaches had them playing better last year, year two would be more comfortable in schemes. I also "feel" like we have better talent in terms of athletes.

-How do we keep playing well, getting turnovers, then still give up the 50+ yard TDs?

-Is fact that though they are better athletically, we still play a lot of Fr/So types that are still green part of it?

-Ultimate HC is responsible, but how much is on the Def C & those assistants?

Offense: I only read about Nate's 2 INT, but while quite costly, I just can't criticize his earlier performance and fact offense scored 52 pts!! Line seemingly played better & what a possible find Majette is at RB?!

-Has the hurry up Off worked in our favor overall?

-Do we not have the talent at WR yet to really max out a spread offense?

-Is the play calling the issue (coaches) given we have a lot of handoffs up the middle that get shut down?

Special Teams:

-Has IU not recruited quality enough punter/kicker talent? Seem like it has been an issue last 4 yrs.

Coaching:
Wilson & staff have seemingly done a better job recruiting vs. Lynch era he followed. Feel like athletically and talent wise, we LOOK like most other legit B10 programs and not undersized like in the past.

Sad thing is, we CAN all point to programs that have been turned around all over country. Coaching probably is the constant in those situations as there really is no such thing as a cursed program.

I believe Hoeppner was on track and certainly would have been excellent at recruiting in Indiana (although I have no issues with bringing in great players from south, OH or anywhere else!)

Looked like IU had bounced back vs. Rutgers, was poised to look like team we thought, maybe give the MD/Iowa ("possibly if play up" UM) something to think about and be able to pull out the Bucket win too.

I worry about team psyche after this one. Will hope for the best and admire the players if they can keep fighting and not quit on the season. It is clearly not over until it is over!
