My personal salute to the offensive line

During the 2013 and 2014 seasons I continuously harped on IU's offensive line. Despite posters to the contrary who repeatedly sang their praises, I'm not much for numbers. I would acknowledge that while it was certainly a good group by IU standards, IU didn't have much of a track record for great offensive lines and that if Urban had IU's offensive line then, he'd jump in the river. I'm old enough to have seen great offensive lineman play on that field. And realize that most of them were in white jerseys. It's been great to see them wearing Crimson ones now.

But time, hard work and experience pay off. After Jacob Bailey brought experience to the starting lineup, this has TRULY been a magnificent unit. Spriggs and Feeney have been two of the best this school has produced and rival as good a pair as I've seen in a long time. I really like Dimitric Camiel at RT and suggest he's got a big season coming next yr. Bailey is smart, moves well, and is a tough nut. Jake Reed brings a veteran presence born of time perfecting his craft.

I used to say, I don't care if Tevin Coleman runs for 200 yards against Rutgers in a blowout loss. I want a line that can get a first down when it counts against Michigan and Iowa. Well, they became that unit.
Watching them blow holes in the Purdue defense wide enough to drive a carrier through was amazing.
MY HATS OFF TO COACH FRY AND HIS GUYS.
