I didn't encounter any negativity from OSU fans to speak of, much to my surprise. But my post is more about the in-game production that so many here complain about on the regular.
Overall message is, the crap people like to complain about on here as if we're some minor league operation was very similar to one of the blue bloods of college football.
- They play piped in music after every play and they play it loudly, they play it over the band and they only have speakers on one end of the stadium. I literally couldn't hear the band during the entire game, other than maybe when they played Sloopy between the 3rd and 4th. I think that was the band, but maybe not. Sound familiar?
- They do silly games and promos with an on-field emcee during timeouts. Sound familiar?
- They have a 'hype-man', different than the promotions emcee, seems more like he might be a professional DJ or something, getting the crowd hyped up at the start of each series.
- Their announcer is better than ours, but they also use other people to do at least some of the hyping.
- The lines to the bathrooms are outrageous (C deck) and the walkways are super tight and crowded. It's obviously a much older facility than ours
- Their bottles of water were a dollar cheaper
- The band is awesome at pregame and absolutely ignored at halftime. They did a stupid 'skit' somewhat similar to things we've seen the MH do dozens of times.
