Obviously, our schedule has been tougher. We both played Western. They played a bad Youngstown State - we played a poor Idaho. They played a really-struggling @NW, an overrated (24) @ Miami and a hard-to-judge, finally getting better(?) Nebraska. We played @Iowa, Cincy and @Penn State.

They beat a poor NW team - ran for 8.7 per rush, which improved their rush stat a lot - it’s 5.6 on 189 attempts compared to our 3.4 on 181

Miami made 4 TOs. MSU had a poor running game. They didn’t run it well against Nebraska either.

MSU has thrown 1 (!) picks.

Stats also say they get more yards, get more TDs, score more points, rush better, give up 1 fewer sacks.

Stats and analytics are OK but they don’t tell the whole story. MSU feels better than last year. We are struggling and have had major injuries and quits compared to last year.

Wish Tuttle was meaner.

The OL is what it is too. Can’t keep shifting and moving. Gotta dance with the ugly date time.

MSU is last in the league in pass defense. It’s their biggest (only?) stat weakness. Time for the defense to eat a QB.

Time for the receivers to dominate somebody too. Right now they’re a 40 degree day. (Stringer Bell hates 40 degree days.)

I believe we have enough pride to fight back, but I worry we have portalled ourselves out of LEO chemistry. Too much of a good thing is still too much.

Tuttle needs to grab his own by the short hairs and demand improvement. Same with McFadden. Time to shut up and play.
