I prefer the early games, but I guess it doesn't matter. We make a day of it either way. I-69 is a lonely place on the drive down south after a night game. The good news...may be able to make it back from Cutters girls 4:15 game at Greenfield for kickoff.
Bad news...my Holler on the Hill tickets for that Saturday in Indy just became useless.
Yes, but it beats the hell out of the trip before I-69I prefer the early games, but I guess it doesn't matter. We make a day of it either way. I-69 is a lonely place on the drive down south after a night game.
People up North have no idea what students and people driving up to Bloomington had to deal with. Coal trucks and towns with 20 mph speed traps (Petersburg) were just some of the dangers. On one trip back in the day, we saw 5 separate locations there was either a deer standing on the road or on the shoulder.Yes, but it beats the hell out of the trip before I-69
But I'm with you. I love afternoon football. If I were in charge, they would all start at 2 pm
My folks live in Daviess County and I lived in Johnson County for the past 30 years (just move to NE Brown County this summer). The stretch of I-69 from Bloomington to exit 76 cut 15 minutes off my trip. I anticipate that when the stretch from Martinsville to B'town is completed (if it ever is completed) it will save me another 15.People up North have no idea what students and people driving up to Bloomington had to deal with. We would come up 57 to Washington and flip a coin on which route we thought would be better. It didn't matter because we would always run into a moving roadblock on the last leg into Bloomington. Going through Bedford was an option, but the road made certain members of our family car sick.My folks live in Daviess County and I lived in Johnson County for the past 30 years (just move to NE Brown County this summer). Anybody who protested the building of that interstate should be sentenced to drive from Bloomington to Evansville twice a week along the old route for the rest of their lives.
Totally agree. I EVV to Btown from 80-84. That drive was scary in the snow. Arrived alive but had some close calls.
