Minn@IU Game 2: IU 7 Minn 6, Final

IU was in serious trouble in this game and it appeared that Minn was cruising to another easy win, but heroics in the bottom of the 9th allowed the Hoosiers to pull this one out. After a Richardson homer put the score at 6-4, Minn, both Fineman and Walker struck out. With two outs, both Ashley and Gorski walked, and Lloyd hit a walk-off 3-run homer to win it. IU was outhit 13-7, and had another 15 Ks, but found a way to pull this one out in what was a huge and very important win. Box score:

Winning the rubber match tomorrow is an absolute must. We have two tough road series against Ill and Mich after this, and losing this series at home will certainly not help matters any.

You guys can thank me for that one. I was so over it when they got down 6-1, I decided my grass needed mowed worse than I needed to watch us go down again. Voilà!
