You have to hand it to Mike Brey for running a clean program, and accomplishing a lot with far less talented players. Don't know why ND isn't a destination spot for top talent anymore, but it seems the glory days of Notre Dame basketball are over. Been a longer drought for ND basketball than it has been for us.

Brey runs a very vanilla style offense ...basically an expanded 4 corner set..kids don't dig it...hell us fans don't dig it..nothing flashy and sexy about unathletic players taking set shots from 25 feet...but yes he does ( demands ) a clean program..his kids go to class and for the most part are coachable as well..He's set here at ND, he won't get fired the admin loves him and he has a very outgoing personality..(Quite a nice guy if you've ever met him)...

But yeah no more glory days ..the ACC has LONGGGG passed us by on the BB front..Kopp would REALLY have helped our team out..kid's pretty athletic ...and he's truly 6'8" his size and length are deceiving...good solid player

If that puts W's in the W/L column and gets you to the Big Dance.... that is all that matters.

I prefer fundamentally good basketball play over NBA's trashing of the old school rules.

He'll need to rebound better. I'm glad that Woody has already talked to him about that and playing better D.

Yeah..not the flashiest rebounder ..he's no Charles Barkley...kid will be a fine addition though..very cerebral..easily coachable
