What he’s done in less than 2 full seasons is very impressive. Really good coach.

Hard to see how mediocre IU is in Archie’s 4th season.

What Cronin is doing is an anomaly. You need to realize that IU fans needs to be more patient and wait another 2-3 years to see results---like .500 in BT play. This is a major rebuild effort at IU, and we as fans need to accept that and be ok with it. It doesn't matter if the product on the floor has sucked for the last 20 years. They will need another 20 years to get back to the glory years. ;)

Talked to Mike Lewis at a summer tourney in Phoenix in ‘19, before he started his first season with Cronin at UCLA. Cronin was there too, and seemed like a really sharp analyst of the game. We need some of Lewis’s fire and grit on the sideline. Archie never seems to yell to fire the guys up. Instead, he rolls his eyes and makes snide comments under his breath. How is that going to inspire a higher level of play from his players? So frustrated

It's not just that ... double whammy, bad coach and bad recruiter making 3.5M. Wish I could suck at my job, with no hope of improvement for years ... the thought of extending him is like a Crean volcanic stupid. It's basically highway robbery. You know, say what you will about Alford, but the guy did decline his salary for the year he thought he fell well below expectations

You've got to be kidding. Enough is enough, the lack of improvement in critical areas is just coaching malpractice. He knows he needs 3 pt. shooting to win - any improvement in four years? No. He wants his teams to go to the FT line - can they actually make FTs? No. He knows he needs big men to compete in the BIG - does he have big men? No. Do his players actually improve under his coaching? No. Trace didn't have a jump shot when he arrived and he still doesn't. He talks about Anthony Leal shooting 500 three pointers each day. Why don't other players do the same when that is his team's weakest link? Can he recruit? Not this year. So what is he getting $3.5 million for? What? I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Coach K had some bad years when he started at Duke, but by the fourth year he had a good team and has ever since. Do we think Archie will have good to great teams in the future? I just don't see it.

‘Yes, he was kidding.

Came across a few stats...
SCORING - 72.6 ppg (ranked 169th)
3pt% - 32% (ranked 214)
FT% - 66% (ranked 260)
Galloway - 4/23 on threes (17%)
For as much hype around TJD, he does not finish very well many times.
