Michigan Thoughts

Man I'm reading the board today and I'm surprised at some of the negative posts. So I'd be interested in feedback regarding my thoughts.

• Expected us to get homered on fouls on the road. Our best players both had two in less than 4 min. (Check)
• Expected us to struggle on Offense without Rob. Green by himself not enough. (I like Green) Everyone needs a breather to play at a high level including Green. (Check)
• Michigan played very well in first half. Not surprised our two best guys were on the pine. They are not "best team in the country" good but they could be later. Transfer from UK is tough.
• Anyone who thought we would beat them at home without Rob and Deron needs to share what they're smoking. No chance.
• I think we beat them on neutral floor with Rob and Deron and at the Hall Jan 25.

My expectations for this team is make the tourney and make some noise. Everything else is gravy. We could be real good if we get some players back. The losses of Rob, Deron, Race, Jake, and Jerome are huge. Played Duke and Michigan hurt and got handled. Healthy and Neutral I still think we compete.

Best team we've had in many years. Morgan and Langford are great. Go Hoosiers!

The talk is they'll take 7-8 B1G teams for the tourney so it's pretty clear we'll make it. And I liked what I saw in the 2nd half yesterday on the road. I hope we can build on that as the conference games really heat up now. This team can be a gritty fighter at times - just need consistently more of that. Hopefully we'll be getting some players back and healthy soon. I think we'll win a couple games nobody thinks we can. I'd like to see 3rd place B1G regular season.

What's up with Deron? I know he took a bad spill last game, but he's been playing. Why was he held out... achilles related again? If RP and Zack would get healthy and we could count on Deron, I think we have a credible team that Archie can do something with. Without those guys, there are just too many weaknesses. I am tired of watching Juwan have to guard guys that are 3-6" taller than him and outweigh him by 30+ lbs. If Deron could give us 20-25 minutes and occupy the other team's 5, if they have one, that would put our 3rd best scoring option on the floor and help with a backline defender, not to mention keeping Morgan fresher and better able to avoid fouls.

I'd like to see us get two road wins of these four.. Maryland/Purdue/ Iowa/Minnesota. .
We have to break threw on the road..
