Two-star tight end Michael Ziemba is out for the HS season with a foot fracture, he tells TheHoosier.com.
The 6-3, 250-pound senior from Lake Mary (Fla.) High said he's been playing through pain, but recently had an MRI that revealed the navicular bone in his foot was fractured.
Ziemba said they are thinking long term now, so he's going to sit out and heal. He will have surgery to repair the fracture which he said expects to take him out for the season.
He will be in a non-weight bearing cast for six weeks. After that he will see what the doctors say.
