I heard an interview Matt had with Jim Coyle on Indiana Sports Beat that he is the new head coach of Ft Wayne Blackhawk. Their former Coach Marc.Davidson had been battling cancer and recently passed away. I did not realize Matt had been on staff there for three years.

Matt said he felt very at home in Ft Wayne. His wife is from the area. They have three small children so it will be interesting if they stick around Indiana we can see their children perhaps become athletes.

Matt did marry an Allen county/FW girl. She was a scholarship athlete at IU. Believe she is still coaching to this day. Her family tree has produced a bunch of referees/officials past and present.

Roth got Creaned. Not sure how much love he's got for IU basketball.

Watch Matt ref a few times. Great job and great with the kids. His wife was Blackhawks volleyball coach for a few years. I believe they won state one of those years. I think she quit/retired to take care of their kids.

We all wanted Furst to commit at the time but the coaching situation cost us two in-state players just as it did when the Sampson mess was live.

as it turns out Furst is better off at pu with the influx of talent at IU.

I would like to think so. But I wouldn't blame him if he had a bitter taste in his mouth. I'm shallow that way.

Matt seems pretty happy to be at Blackhawk Christian. Seems like a good guy too. It will be interesting how well they play under him because Coach Marc had them doing pretty well. They were fun to watch.
