They are really on a roll and after beating Purdue today, they have won 10 of their last 11 games. However, there is a reason for their surge as they are in an incredibly easy part of their schedule. In that surge, they took a two-game series against NW which is sinking badly in the conference, they have played three games against a horrid Minnesota which is having a historically bad season for that school, three games against Illinois which is a sub-500 team and is the one team that handed them their one loss in that string, and they won two straight over Purdue which is next to last in the B1G. They are going for the three-game sweep against the Boilers tomorrow. The schedule catches up with them at the end of the conference season with three games at Michigan and then they finish with three games at home against IU. Obviously, playing both Mich and IU at the end of the season is going to be crucial for them in making the field of 64 in the NCAAs.
