Hyperbole at its finest.
Slightly OT: Speaking of South Korea, they’re going to get taken over by the NK because there won’t be anyone left. He needs to declare martial law and force everyone to start having babies. @BadWakeboarder this is why I don’t want depopulation. I don’t know how governments turn it around.
lol....its just math. Ok, I'll move on. Enjoy your day.Hyperbole at its finest.
Until you can address how we overcome resource (food, water, energy) scarcity - I’m not interested in debating the merits of further population growth. We can agree that land isn’t as scarce as some might intuitively believe, but what we need to survive and thrive certainly is.lol....its just math. Ok, I'll move on. Enjoy your day.
Yeah I was reading the other day where some lady cancelled Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners because a lot of her relatives voted for Trump. When the US is unstable, it trickles down.
The battle between the Partisans over Trump since the night Hillary lost has destablized more than just a few friends and families who no longer have Thanksgiving together.
We just had our annual family Thanksgiving (my sisters, their husbands and all our children). I think everyone is now a Republican (most of us started out Democrat) and I know about half did not vote for Trump and the other half are big Trump supporters because they'll occasionally say something only MAGAs believe (because it's false). However, as usual, Thanksgiving was fun and pleasant as always. Everyone respects the views of the others, and we basically avoid talking about politics. If someone says something political, which is rare, we move on rather than argue about it. We focus on family stuff, sports (Cowboys, Bengals and Colts fans in the group) and IU, UofL or UK and we manage not to argue about sports either. Politics should not be splitting families.Yeah I was reading the other day where some lady cancelled Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners because a lot of her relatives voted for Trump.

The UK fans generally lie low. 😉Sorry Aloha, but if someone were to try and talk up Kentucky at my family Thanksgiving, they'd probably leave with a black eye.
And they lie with their sisters….The UK fans generally lie low. 😉

I don’t know what UK fans do on Thanksgiving. But do you know what they do on Halloween? And they lie with their sisters….
Agree 100 percent with the bolded. It’s needed on this board too.Same at my house - except Democrats outnumber Republicans on my wife’s side of the family.
There wasn’t much political discussion. What discussion there was took on a good-natured tone. It’s really silly to fight with people (especially people you care about) over politics.
A lot of people in our country need to learn or relearn the art of civil and polite disagreement.

I take it this was either not very funny or it flew over everybody’s head. Not even a single like? Inconceivable!I don’t know what UK fans do on Thanksgiving. But do you know what they do on Halloween?
A: Pumpkin
Happy now? Whining like a Dem.I take it this was either not very funny or it flew over everybody’s head. Not even a single like? Inconceivable!
Martial law ended after National Assembly voted unanimously to end it. Yoon's political future is probably not looking good.I didn’t see this coming:

I would think a lot of that good judgment and understanding the ethics of war and duty comes from his time he spent training and being embedded with American units in his career.South Korean LTG refused to carry out what he thought was an illegal order during the short-lived martial law. Probably right.
Exactly, they've been training with American military in schoolhouses all over the country. We had them in my Command and General Staff course and I'm sure they're attending every senior war college as well. All these courses emphasize civilian control of the military.I would think a lot of that good judgment and understanding the ethics of war and duty comes from his time he spent training and being embedded with American units in his career.
What's that? 🤣 Seriously, I don't know why some people just can't discuss politics without getting mad.... and they get mad at the drop of a hat. I know 2 or 3 people like that.... My wife went to lunch with one of them a couple weeks ago. I told her that I was gonna go buy me a Trump shirt and wear it. ) Nah, I would never do that but it is tempting when someone gets so upset over politics.A lot of people in our country need to learn or relearn the art of civil and polite disagreement.
You sound like me…pushing buttons, with purpose (one being having fun at their expense). What's that? 🤣 Seriously, I don't know why some people just can't discuss politics without getting mad.... and they get mad at the drop of a hat.
