he's very laid back and mentioned, as coaches usually do, that he loves his team and that they really didn't play that badly; they just ran into a good, smart team that played lights out. Here's the deal, you have a team hit 15 threes against you, most likely you're in deep trouble. My worry (and probably most people on here) is what happens when we hit only five or six out of 20-22 threes. It has happened in the past and it will happen again. What we have been able to do the last couple games, especially, is to force teams to go away from their strength in order to match up to us---rather than to their strength (size, strength inside). That only becomes possible when your five can step away and hit shots or drive to the hole. When I say five, I guess I mean Hartman since Emmitt has not shown that ability. You can bet your house that both Matta and Painter are going to try to change this formula. It won't matter if we keep hitting shots like last night but it will if we only hit 30% of those 3 pointers. Regardless, this is a hell of a lot of fun and quite a chess match to watch. Give Crean and his team credit for having the audacity and grit to believe they can do it.
