A lot of us have seen what a little whiner Trump is but Cuban spoke truth to one of his main enablers. Good for him!

Yes, hurry up and get this posted on the water cooler so people will watch it and change their minds on who they are voting for in the next election.

Can we talk about Hannity’s hair? That part placement is awful. He’s way too rich to have such stupid hair.

Agree with this and Cuban. But I don't if it is enough for me to vote for Biden, who Robert Gates said has been wrong on every major foreign policy decison over the past 40 years, or something to that effect.

Up until the pandemic I would have voted for trump. After I won't. Assuming Biden's faculties are fine I'd be fine okay with biden (though i hate career politicians), much like i was fine with obama as i trust it'll be much like obama 2.0.

Yikes. You really want the left wing of the Democratic Party in charge of the economic recovery? A Biden administration won’t be close to a 3rd term Obama. Biden energy and economic advisors are straight outta the Sanders and Warren campaigns. Super PACS are pushing Biden way left. He is acquiescing.

I should say that assuming it definitely is between Biden and Trump, I will unapologetically vote for Biden. I think you have to look beyond the two men and what their administrations and positions will be. Trump will fill his cabinet with loyalists who check one of two boxes: their appointment will 'piss off the libs' and/or they'll be a media personality or politician who has publicly said nice things about him.

I'm pretty sure if you a resume to the White House with at least two for the following bullet points you'd get a White House appointment:

    • Donald Trump is the best president ever and it's a shame the media treats him very badly.
    • I don't wear a mask because no liberal governor is going to tell me what to do
    • I'm eager to prove that Obamagate is the worst atrocity brought upon the American people ever

Few things. First I'd rather have trump in charge of the economy. Unfortunately, i don't see the virus going away any time soon. I just read an article out of the UK from a couple of "top docs" that have little faith we're going to have a vaccine any time soon. I break from you in that I think trump's done an awful job handling the virus and have zero faith going forward in him in this respect. As such I can't vote for him in that I think the virus will be a cloud over all we do for some time.

As for biden my hope is he's just pandering/placating voters with his rhetoric on bernie/aoc etc. that when elected he'll march closer to the middle and deviate from those folks. And i believe that'll be the case. CoH if bernie was elected I'd move my business right out of the country. There's zero chance I'd keep it in the states. Costa Rica, somewhere. Biden knows Bernie's policies don't appeal to most of us and i trust he'll gravitate towards the middle if elected.

Seems the left wing Obama administration did just fine with the economic recovery. Or do you credit Trump for that too?

This is almost mind-boggling to me. It's almost like no one on the right remembers the economic crash and the recession Obama inherited. It's crazy.

Many of us recognize it and believe trump bolstered it. We fear biden will do what Coh suggests: free education, student loan forgiveness, universal healthcare, jack up minimum wage, raise taxes, greater biz Reg etc. is biden going to be closer to Obama or Bernie?

Biden is the candidate exactly because the Democratic Party in general is much more centrist than the Bernie crowd. He'll govern as Obama 2.0. Once he cleans up Donald's mess, his big policy push will be expanded health care coverage via the ACA. Otherwise, he will be boring as shit. I can't wait.

That's my expectation too. that said i want to see his running mate and whether it's warren. i know i'm in the minority here (on many things) but his gaffes and lapses concern me. no offense to anyone on the board but he'll be into his 80's as president. many of our courts have mandatory retirement at 70. just sayin.

Then he better pick a hot VP. It would be tough going from batshit crazy to that level of boredom overnight.

I gotta believe Kamala is the frontrunner. She's not extreme, has administrative experience, and Biden owes his candidacy to the black voters in South Carolina and elsewhere. Personally I'd rather see Amy as VP and Harris as AG, but that could go to Amy, too. I think both are qualified to step in if necessary, or to succeed him in 2024. Warren needs to stay in the Senate for oversight of the financial sector, or as head of the SEC or something of that nature.

I feel the same way about his age. Just curious... How would you feel if he picked Michelle Obama? Pretty much a 0% chance but would that push you the other way?

No clue. I haven't listened to a thing she's said and I don't know her policy positions. The only thing I know about her is she went to princeton undergrad and harvard law. That's one hell of an accomplishment. She's obviously super smart.

I would have liked cuban. I like the idea of someone with business experience. A lifelong politician coupled with a lawyer (academic) isn't ideal to me. And again I don't really know much about Michelle other than her background in law and academia.

Im not going to get into any of these individually, but maybe now is the time to at least debate some of these ideas. We’ve largely been doing the same thing for decades and we are at an inflection point caused by the virus. We see many other nations across the globe that are not seeing their economies get completely sacked. Maybe nows the perfect time to vet some new ideas. Clearly continuing to give tax cuts to the wealthy and cutting environmental regulations hasn’t helped during this crisis.

This is frightening. Q1 sucked. Q2 will be a disaster.

Reopening reality check: Georgia's jobs aren’t flooding back

“Weekly applications for jobless benefits have remained so elevated that Georgia now leads the country in terms of the proportion of its workforce applying for unemployment assistance. A staggering 40.3 percent of the state's workers — two out of every five — has filed for unemployment insurance payments since the coronavirus pandemic led to widespread shutdowns in mid-March, a POLITICO review of Labor Department data shows.“

No! As much as I think she's an absolutely great lady, we don't do that in this country. Inherited or familial succession is for banana republics, dictatorships, and southern governors. We toyed with it with the Kennedys, the Bushs, and the Clintons. Not much of a track record.

We've tried that already with Hoover and Trump. Nothing wrong with business experience, but running a business and governing are two completely different skill sets. The only national candidates I think we've had in my lifetime with a strong background in both were Romney and Carter.

Right and I liked how things were going under trump prior to the virus. It’s unfortunate bc the virus is a total anomaly - a 100 hundred year event. But I think it’s going to be around for a while and trump imo has thrown in the towel on it.

Biden would be smart to pick his cabinet before the general election and make it a big part of his campaign.

That's where we differ. I think Trump is a threat to the republic. He proved that to me long before anyone had ever heard of Covid. His handling of the pandemic has been dismal, but I can almost understand how he got blindsided by it and then had to play catch-up. If he wasn't such a boor and was willing to own it I'd almost be willing to cut him some slack.

We think alike. I think I've mentioned that before myself. Name the team publicly, and let the Cabinet-members-to-be get out on the campaign trail and on the airwaves. Only drawback would be if someone had a skeleton in his/her closet that could taint the whole campaign.

I agree and just wanted to throw her name out there. Mayor Pete is another name that would be interesting but I'd still prefer a female VP. My guess is Kamala or Stacey Abrams. Given Biden's age, I'd prefer Kamala as the next in line.

Abrams needs more experience. She was the minority leader of a state legislature. Pete is more qualified than she is.
