Almost saw him pitch a no hitter at Riverfront. In the 9th George Hendricks of the Cardinals hit a homer off him. This tied the score 1-1. The Reds won it in the bottom of the 9th.Mario Solo?

My dad was too. Hours listening to pregame, post game, call in shows etc.We'd go a couple times a summer. Since he was PU and I was IU, nice to have a sport with could bond with. My Grandma loved to watch baseball. Although the Cardinals were her favorite team, I remember her being focused on the TV during a visit the Reds were playing.
