He is at LT not guard and we have talented guards whoever proves they are starters. By the way I know you are joking.Great! Hiller will probably move him to guard now.
Interesting first sentence that hits home. I am/was expecting nothing from the OL and unfortunately therfore nothing good from W and Ls.I have honestly not even considered that the OL could be competent. If they were to play like a CKW o-line, I would multiply my projected win totals by 2-3x,
He’s been one of our steadiest OL the last two years, and pretty durable, too. They wanted to play ZC last year but he struggled big time and then got hurt. He’s a guy they’ve slimmed down on hopes of improving his mobility, so we’ll see. I think there’s some ability up front but we aren’t going to overpower anyone or suddenly turn into a Wisconsin or Iowa. Bell s going to ask a lot of them tackle to tackle because the TE isn’t going to be as prominent in the run game for him, and we don’t have a TE for that role, anyway. If he can play like a top 10 OT, that bodes well for our offense. Bedford at other OT and Carpenter at C, should both be improved. Just need a couple OGs to step up their game as starters. I want to believe we can have a competent OL, hopefully these guys put in the work to make it happen.
Haggard has been here since 2019... Most would consider this type of recognition as his having "developed"Haggard has the physique of a NFL tackle. I thought he would be very good two years ago when he first appeared.
This actually proves the point that there is talent in the oline room, can Hiller develop it????
