Dumping off wasn’t Bazelak’s MO … he was (over) focused on getting the ball to Camper. AJ Barner might have stayed if he got more relief valve looks. (More production was needed from Xs Donovan and Coby when DJ went down).

Swing pass routes are tricky … need to get wide enough to beat the defense to the side line … can’t turn up too sharply… ball needs to be thrown with touch, leading the receiver. (Away from the defender) Poorly thrown balls are pick-6s. Baze may not have been good at that, IDK.

It’s clear, I think, that the RBs weren’t trusted to make the catches routinely. But that may have be an artifact of single back read option scheme, where the RB could get tackled after the mesh.

Fran Tarkington and Chuck Foreman put on a clinic beating Wills in pass pro. Defenses had to know Fran would get the ball to Chuck … but seldom stopped a gain for 1st down on 3rd down.
