The one possession late we had like four shots and did not score. Kopp missed two threes I think.
We don’t have anybody on the team as close to either Bohannon or Murray from beyond the arc. They just hit everything. Bohannon has done this his whole career. I mean, that last shot, you cannot do a thing about that.
Absolutely right. The kid hit a bank shot, heave. We played good enough defense to win. It was our offense, yet again, and more specifically, our outside shooting that got us today.
Still proud of these guys though.

We had three shots. All threes. All wide open. Two misses by X and the final one completely wide open again was Kopp. This is why we lost. it wasn't jordan's banked three at the end. It was our inability to hit open shots all game. Kopp / Stewart / Galloway / RP combined for 4 - 23. 17.4%. Woof!
Correct. Hit one if those and we probably win. The last shot was a fluke and not why we lost.
As has been the case all year with our shooters. Too inconsistent. We don’t have a Bohannon or Murray from deep. It’s what it is.
Exactly. We missed makeable good shots and they made them. Simple as that. Never should have been in the position for that lucky heave to beat us.
Not sure if we can do any damage in the tourney since we cannot make open shots.

The decisions and execution are a liability at times.
The difference in this game was pure and simple:
Stewart and Kopp vs Bohannon and Murray.
Their guys put on a clinic.
Today, IU just got beat by a better program with a better roster. You don’t win games trying to rely on Stewart and Kopp shooting their usual 3 for 15 or whatever it is. Those two are overmatched in every aspect of the game, no matter the opponent.
Yeah I agree but we still had the game if we play decent D. Remember it was Perkins that got them going with that way too easy drive and one against Galloway. Then the Trace charge so my point is there were other things added to the lousy shooting and penultimate Bohannon 3 that contributed to our collapse.
