He has 14 on the year so far, putting him at 48 for his career and tying him with Kellen Lewis (it still amazes me Lewis has that record).
Nate is on his way to topping a few of the QB records. Here's where he stands on the key metrics:
Completions: started the season with 346 completions, currently has 142. At the current rate, he should finish around 560 or so. Ben Chappel's record of 651 completions should stand, but Nate could pass K Lewis for 2nd (565).
Yards: started the season with 4,306. He's added 2,049 thus far. If he keeps up his average, he should finish around 7500 yards. ARE has the career record with 7,469. Chappel is behind at 7,251.
Completion %: Nate was right behind Chappel at the start of the year with a career .606 vs .611. His numbers this year (completing right at .629) inches him up to .612. If he hangs on, he'll be the career leader.
So, Nate should finish as the career TD pass leader, has a shot to finish as career leader in yards and completion %, and should be top 2 in completions. Not bad considering he's never started a full season.
(and now I knock wood hoping that projecting his year end stats doesn't jinx him in some way)
