Hoosiers never give up think about it they have got five banner hanging how many other programs can say that? GO HOOSIERS
By golly, that's right! No matter how bleak the program gets or how depressing a game we had all but won we lose, we'll always have those banners to recapture that feel-good moment, making our chests swell with pride once again.
This is the only thread I want to reply to about the game. There are many things we could have done differently to win the game. Maryland played a very good game. We played a good game. TJD had a good shot.
Maybe it was news about Kobe that made the loss less important, but I am not upset about the loss because we shot well and took care of the ball. We adjusted in the second half, but made mistakes down the stretch.
We can point to a dozen things and ask "what if" but Maryland would have been in the same situation had that one shot went in or another shot or defensive play during the game that would have given us 2 more points.
The overall team performance has picked up. I still believe this team has improved over the last 2 weeks. The most important message after Sunday is that we need the same effort and a little more focus at the end of the game. Itwas a hard day for the team for a couple of reasons, but we move on.
Hunter's turnover was the key to victory and defeat. Because of the time on the clock situation if we just get that ball in then they are going to have to foul.
I think theone thing we could have done differently at the end was to make sure the last shot was taken w abt five seconds to allow for a possible offensive rebound and putback.
