I wouldn’t put Wommack and Sheridan in the same category. Wommack is a proven defensive coach. By way of example, our offense frequently sputtered in the shortened 2020 “Top 10” season and he was a big reason for our success.Sheridan and Wommack seemed like lazy hires to me.
Maybe at least put out feelers to see who might be available.
Maybe he did that but it appears he went the loyalty route and sometimes that’s a mistake, ask Tom Allen.
Not totally crazy...How crazy would it be if they hired Wilson as their OC.
I’m going to bet he gets picked up by Oklahoma, Alabama, usc etc. dude can run an offenseNot totally crazy...
That's his ceiling, but it's higher than most.I’m going to bet he gets picked up by Oklahoma, Alabama, usc etc. dude can run an offense
Wilson, I think, is well thought of as an OC. Tom Allen was a good DC (doing well at Penn State). But not every OC, DC, QB coach is also cut out to be good at the position right above. How crazy would it be if they hired Wilson as their OC.
I am glad IU doesn't have to deal with Sheridan anymore; coach DeBoer has too much faith in him, and it will cost him his job if he doesn't get rid of him - just listen to the fans at Alabama.Sheridan had Tuttle with a separated shoulder or some such injury against Ole Miss, who had a terrible run defense, yet he was still too stupid to run the ball. Tried throwing it all over.
Deserved not all but plenty of the scorn he gets for his time here.
