Looks Accurate...

I meant vs the covid year. I think the 4 and 5 position is deeper this year. Losing trevion is big, but get another year of experience on edey, gillis, furst should be ready, and Kaufman-Renn, whose probably more geared toward the modern game. The 3 is Newman (hope he finds consistency), Morton (finally healthy and experienced), and Heide (top 50 recruit before injury. Curious to see him). 1 and 2 is again the scary position. I wonder if Morton plays the 2 and handles the ball a bit more. Idk. Will be interesting to see for sure. Once t
Purdue gets into the offense, I think they will be fine. Painter runs a ton of sets with multiple options. If it takes 12 seconds to get into the set though.... that's an issue. Idk. Like I said, probably an NCAA team. If you asked me to bet, I'd say 6-7 seed.
I’d be surprised if Morton and Newman are not your starting wings. At PG the only choice you really have are between Smith and Jenkins. One isn’t a PG and the other is a low ranked true freshman that has so far been unable to practice due to injury.

Heide was falling even pre-injury.

Your issue will likely not be offensive related again (although you won’t be nearly as good offensively this year as last). Defensively I would expect you are pretty poor again. Not sure anyone is equipped to guard the 1.

Just not buying iu being the clear-cut best team in the conference. The fact anyone would put them there shows how down the league will be next season. I think it's going to be a very wide open league with a lot of teams that will have a chance to come out on top. No great teams, and another year the league will go without winning a championship in the tournament.
or so you hope

Eh. Purdue isnt the only one just announcing collectives. For football, I'm future casting a little. It was never a two year rebuild though. If Purdue doesn't win 7 this year, it would be quite disappointing tbh. You have to look beyond wins in the first 4 years to see how good he was for Purdue football. Obviously you have to win, but through the first 4 years, it wasn't only about wins. Now it is.
Interesting that after publicly looking down their nose at the charity-related programs put together at IU and ND...they are heading down the same path.

Looking down? Purdue has always been planning to get a collective going. The university was never going to start it or get the wheels going though. And they didn't. They chose between two third party collectives and partnered with them. Purdue actively supported NIL and its players NIL opportunities from day 1 though and Purdue players have dome well with NIL without a collective.

Do you remember Brian’s comments when the IU charity collective was announced? Purdue fans were definitely looking down at it.

You keep saying Purdue players have done well without a collective, yet I know for a fact one of your starters last year made $12k total. To earn that money he had to do several promotions. Purdue took the rules of NIL literally for some reason. Meanwhile IU players are getting 6 figures for doing a podcast and participating in a 2 hour event.

Purdue has been playing by the rules for years. Not sure why that surprises you. The point of NIL wasn't collectives. Brian is correct. I've heard very different from your 12k.

IU is playing by the rules as well. Purdue is one of the few who misinterpreted what was legal and that put them very behind.

The 12k was 1 player, but he’s also only one of two players I saw promoting stuff for your team.

The biggest question is why are you always here? I’m sure there are a few IU fans who slum on your boards but for the love of all that is holy I can’t figure out why

Not sure who Brian is but their #2 man publicly threw shade on the charity angle but apparently changed his mind.

Your buddy JackSkipOrd23 called "Indina's" plan "low brow" a "sham" and that purdue would not do that.

Sorry. I haven’t been around for long …. I’m 51 but just started dabbling on these boards. I have no social media presence at all so this is my only online guilty pleasure…. Well except for pornhub of course
I'm from Indiana and love big ten sports in general, so I just like discussing big ten sports and getting outsider opinions. So I keep it civil, don't attack others, and enjoy big ten sports.

Brian is their lead writer at GBI. He’s a Purdue fanboy.

I’m from Indiana and live in the south now. I understand. Being a B1G fan in SEC country can be brutal
