Liz Cheney has the biggest balls in the entire Congress.

It will be interesting to see if she gets reelected.. balls are not highly regarded in the GOP.

I have no issue with people like Romney and Cheney. Their policies may suck but at least they stand for something.
She will be out, no doubt about it. Ever been to Wyoming?

So you are saying that the Liberal Democrats have integrity? REALLY?

Sure, they do.

Don't you know that Dianne Feinstein and Eric Swallwell resigned from Congress after having Chinese Communist Party agents working for them.

Ohh wait......
When 90% of the Democrats in Congress support a lie that the presidential election was rigged, then we’ll talk. The point is that we have a plethora of republicans who lack integrity, not just a few.

Only if you're the kind of moron who thinks that all Democrats are essentially Communists. You're not that kind of moron, are you?
When did you stop beating your wife, Goat??

You're an embarrassment to this forum. Who the hell did you blow to be a moderator?

I'm saying that Trump inflicted incalculable harm on the country, particularly during the period from November 3, 2020 through January 6, 2021, and a majority of Republicans in Congress still bow to his altar. There's no parallel on the other side, pal. In fact, nothing comes close.

Democrats hold legislative and executive power in Washington. They can pass anything they want. Republicans are legislatively irrelevant. You're barking at the moon, bud.

I’m not sure she cares if she gets re-elected. It’s a smart play politically to be the lone, loud voice in disputing the big lie.

If the Republican Party comes to their senses and repudiates Trump in the next 2-3 years, she would stand at the top as the leader of the traditional Conservative party. It’s her best shot at the Presidency and she’s playing it perfectly. Everyone else is out proving their loyalty to Trump, so the “sane lane” is open to her.

In today's world many among the GOP would see the Preamble of our Constitution as being Marxist (I.e., liberal, communist, socialist).

Interestingly the Preamble and the Constitution is broad enough to include all the above ideologies if We the People so chose IMO.

That's a big "if". IMO, everything will depend on how 2022 shakes out. If the Trumpistas lose big, then the GOP has a chance to put him behind them and keep whatever dignity they may have remaining.

I think the Trumpistas losing big in congressional races is a bigger “if” than the law or new revelations finally catching up to Trump. Surely there has to be SOMETHING that would be bad enough for the mainstream party leaders to turn on him. Maybe not.

You mean like inciting an insurrection? Something like that?

If sedition isn't enough then not sure what would be at this point. He could do or admit to practically anything and they would act like it was nothing.

Beat ya. :)
But yeah, anything and everything takes a back seat to politics with the "mainstream party leaders". They can't hold Liz's jock.

No, but many on the left think the whole document is racist. Which is dumb as hell.

Cheney is the last gap of a dying party. This board gets all caught up on Trump. He does not matter to the majority of the people who voted for him. His policy pushes do matter though. There is plenty going on with the current dipshits in charge of the government that the GOP is going to have a compelling argument to keep the Democrats far away from the levers of power. And Trump won't be on the ballot.

Well, considering that most Republicans are textualists with regards to their Constitutional philosophy, which was written in 1787,and the Communist Manifesto and Marxist philosophy didn't exist until its publishing in 1848, you're projection is well......garbage.

Your post has nothing to do with my point but, since you've switched the topic to legislative relevancy, you might want to familiarize yourself with a tactic known as the "Senate filibuster."

Populists be populists. They give less care about textualism than I do.

This post is internally inconsistent. You say Trump won't be on the ballot, but you are making it very clear he will be, just not in name.

If that's the direction you want the GOP to go, then what happens is on you, and those like you.

People keep making this claim, and it's total bullshit. Trump the man is all that matters to his supporters. They couldn't identify a "policy" of his at five yards.

I will grant you that a number who voted for him didn't vote for him, but they didn't vote for his "policies" either. They voted against Hillary and The Scary Squad.

Reread Hoot's first three words. He's talking about here and now. So when either was written has no relevance.

Mitt Romney was booed and heckled at the Utah state Republican Party meeting. It’s disqualifying for a GOP candidate to say that Biden won the Presidential election. None of this has anything to do with policy but it all shows that the GOP is still fully the Trump party.
