Brown has been pitching well and he is up to 88 pitches. The 7th may be his last inning on the mound, but I'm hoping that he can make it into the 8th.

In an understatement, those three runs scored in the top of the 7th were huge. I thought we were going to cruise from that point on, but it was not to be.

NW is holding on to a slim 3-2 lead over Nebraska in the bottom of the 5th.

Not a good showing by our bullpen today. Both Modugno and Litwicki have been charged with a combined five runs. Modugno faced six batters and allowed three hits, giving up two earned runs, while Litwicki faced nine batters and gave up five hits to include two doubles, and has been charged with three earned runs. Fortunately for us, UM's bullpen has been worse.

NW pitching fell apart in the B7th as Neb scored six runs in that inning to take a 8-5 lead with NW batting in the T8th, so things don't look good for us pulling back into 1st place.

Tomorrow's game is on ESPN2 at 1 pm (ET). I really like our chances in that game with Bierman on the mound going against their #3 pitcher, which would make for a successful weekend.

A ton of pitching changes along with quite a few hits by both teams make for long games, but it's okay with me as long as the good guys come out on top.
