Awful loss. They score the winning run without a hit. We have really put ourselves in a difficult situation with the tournament. We have to do something in game 2 or IMO we are watching the end of our season this weekend.

They're going to get exactly what they deserve. Can't believe how many wins this crew has choked away. Top to bottom disaster.

Scoring just 3 runs isn't very good at this level. They need to find a way to get on base more often. Lineup needs to shaken up. Pitching crew can only do so much work out there.

Well, it seems that scoring three runs in a game has become our ceiling. This is the fourth straight game that we have failed to score more than that. If our pitching staff can't hold the opponent below that, we seem to be in trouble in a game. Ashley has completely disappeared at the plate over the latter part of the season; but it's more than just him since we can't seem to come up with big hits in most scoring situations no matter who is at the plate. We have had our moments, but they have been few and far between. Clutch hitting has become our coup de grace to this season.

Of the teams in the B1G that are presently above .500 on the season, here is our season record against them.

Neb - 1-3
Mich - 1-2
OSU - 1-5
MD - 0-1 with two to play
Iowa - 2-1

We have shown that we are better than the lower division teams, but we don't quite measure up to the better teams in the conference.

And our pitching ran great era against that competition. I’d like to see their era against these teams. I think it has been an illusion
