The mayor of Lake Charles just said it feels to his people that not as many people evacuated as did for Rita in 05.

I just saw a video of a guy who is apparently the mayor of Port Arthur, Texas, shortly before he and the entire city government evacuated. A reporter asked him about people who decided to ride it out, and he said, "Don't call 911, because no one is gonna answer. You're on your own. If you stay, it's you and God."

VPM has definitely heard this story before. Something about an authoritarian, narcissistic, in mature and spoiled Pharoah releasing the working class out of bondage after a series of plagues sent by God.

Of course the story probably fits better if Bernie was the nominee but still.

I'd actually watch The Ten Commandments again if we could voice over Yul Brenner with Trump and Charlton Heston with Bernie (or Joe but Bernie would be more entertaining).
